Meet Your Chef:
My name is Alec Black, and my passion is to create a meal that people will remember for the rest of their life. I’ve had the passion to pursue this for as long as I can remember. Moving to the Northwoods at age 16 from the south suburbs of Chicago is when I really began my career. I started as a pizza cook at the Sayner Pub. After graduating high school, I promptly enrolled in the Culinary Arts program at Nicolet College.
While attending I became the Jr. Sous Chef of a local super club, working full time. Most days I spent 14 hours in the kitchen. In 2019 I moved to Appleton, WI to pursue more knowledge in the field. This is where I worked with some of the best chefs Wisconsin has to offer.
At the same time that Covid-19 was striking our community, my Fiance and I found out we were expecting our son. After bringing him into the world, we made the choice to move back to the Northwoods. I have learned and grown not only as a person but as a chef. Now that I am back I would love to share my expertise with the community I have grown to love.
